A festive Christmas table doesn't have to be complicated or expensive. With a few clever choices and a mix of old and new, you can create a table with warmth, depth, and character in no time.
Fabric from the fabric market
We start with the base: a copper-colored velvet fabric from the fabric market. Velvet immediately gives a rich, warm look and feels festive. By layering it with a black lace fabric, you create extra depth and a playful contrast. The layering effect makes the table more exciting and luxurious.
Catchy tableware
As an eye-catcher, we've chosen the Limited Party Edition of Bordy's "Catchy" – part 1: The Culinary Catch. The fish plates bring character and a festive twist to the table and are a perfect addition to a bold Christmas setting. The Catchy plates can be the foundation of your table, but can also be a cheerful touch among your existing collections. They go with everything!
Vintage Glassware and Crystal
Then you can go wild with vintage glassware and crystal. By combining different styles and heights, you create a vibrant whole. The glassware we used for this table comes partly from grandma's cupboard, thrift stores, and the vintage tableware shop 'Het Derder servies'. Feel free to fill the table with bowls and accessories – with Christmas, you can really go overboard ;-).
Pine and Ivy Branches
To bring everything together and make it even more festive, we casually drape pine and ivy branches over the table.
The result? A spectacular Christmas table with a grand impact, yet surprisingly simple to make. Perfect for long evenings, good conversations, and festive dining.
