Cod casserole

The first dish my mother learned to make in cooking class after she got married, and still a big hit with the family. Very simple, but I lick my fingers every time I eat it.
Main course, serves 8,
0 minutes preparation time + 20 minutes cooking time
Ingredients
1 kg cod fillet
100 g butter
8 tomatoes, chopped into small pieces
150 g young mature cheese,
grated
120 ml white wine,
salt and pepper
Take an oven dish and place a few slices of butter on the bottom, then place the fish on top. Cover the fish with a few more slices of butter and spread the chopped tomatoes over it. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Pour a dash of wine over it and cover with grated cheese. Place the baking dish in a preheated (200 °C) oven for 20 minutes.
Serve with boiled potatoes (delicious for dipping in the gravy) and stir-fried spinach with whipped cream.
