Do you remember Brabantia's Patrice print? Well, these 70s colors and floral patterns are making a comeback! At home, they had to get used to these ‘old-fashioned’ colors. They thought I had completely missed the mark with my happy purchase of this Vichy check table linen. But I'll show them, because this seventies style is becoming totally hip and happening!
Modern retro
70s colors: brown, orange, ochre yellow, salmon pink, and green, but with a contemporary flair, of course. It's going to be old-fashioned cozy again, because these colors create a warm, cozy atmosphere on the table in no time. Incidentally, a match made in heaven with our ‘La dolce vita di una Farfalla’ collection! We also see rich dark blue fabrics and lots of chrome as a nod to the 1920s.
Mix & Match
2024 will also be the year of Mixing & Matching. I've always enjoyed combining different tableware sets, but now it's really becoming a trend. Mix new tableware with old tableware. Preferably with colorful floral patterns, decorated with vintage glassware. Think of smoked glass or those wine glasses with colored twisted bases. So have fun browsing thrift stores, markets, or your grandmother's cupboard and mix your finds with a beautiful new tableware set!
Inspired by nature
At Bordy's, we love to be inspired by nature, and you can see that reflected in this year's trend: organic shapes, the use of wood, and unusual elements such as fruit and vegetables. Today's woman (or man) radiates a commitment to sustainability.
Have fun with these table setting trends and see you in my next blog!
