Lindt chocolate bunnies, butter lambs, matzos with sugar and cress, a breakfast table full of Easter chicks... sometimes even real ones! Hunting for Easter eggs during the day and eating asparagus in the evening. Easter is a wonderful tradition in our family. Of course, no Easter would be complete without a festively decorated Easter table! Here's a fun styling tip for a beautiful Easter dinner.
Lovely colors
My favorite Easter colors are soft pink, yellow, and mint green... So I used a pink checkered tablecloth as a base and covered it with cheerful butterfly plates from the La dolce vita di una Farfalle series. Butterflies symbolize freedom and happiness because they are associated with sunny, warm weather and new life. So they belong on the Easter table just as much as the Easter bunny and chicks.
Small vases with spring flowers
Center three or five small vases on the table and fill each vase with a bouquet of spring flowers. For example, one vase full of tulips, one with daffodils, and a small one with blue grape hyacinths, anemones, and/or hyacinths. The fuller the table, the better, but make sure you can still see over it!
Quaint & Kitschy
Place cute Easter bunnies, Easter eggs, chickens, lambs, and chicks among the cheerful spring flowers...kitschy figurines are allowed at Easter ;-)
